A variety of special events, fundraisers, concerts, and multimedia shows are presented each year. These events often take place in the Center for the Arts, but often are held in other locations around Mackinac Island.
With a spectacular backdrop, our summer concert series takes place on the lawn of a National Historic Landmark-Marquette Park at the foothills of Historic Fort Mackinac downtown across from the marina. Bring a picnic and tune in for some great live folk, rock, country, blues-the best of Americana.
All concerts are free. We do recommend bringing a blanket or lawn chairs for your comfort. Last two Thursdays in June and every Thursday in July 8pm-9pm.
The beauty of Mackinac Island encourages artists to relax, focus on their creativity and thrive in the company of their fellow students and the instructor. We have some wonderful local and regional artists lined up for our weekly Workshops at the Museum, held at the Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum. The classes offer a broad range of media from painting to metals!
