Mackinac Arts Council occasionally offers hands-on workshops on Mackinac Island.

New for 2008: Weekly Drop in and Draw sessions

Beginning Monday, June 15th, 2008, these sessions will be held weekly at the Mackinac Island Community Center on Market Street for 8 weeks.  Sessions  begin at 7:00 pm and will last for 3 hours.  All drawing materials provided by the Mackinac Arts Council.  Sessions will include still life set-ups and will frequently include live period-costumed models.  There will be a $5 fee per session to participate.  These are not drawing classes, they are an opportunity for like-minded artists to gather and practice their skills.  There will be no instructor, however, Board Member and artist, Bill Murcko will be monitoring the sessions.
