About Your Instructor – Maeve Croghan
Maeve Croghan is a highly respected Plein air and nature painter whose work celebrates the beauty, strength, and spirit of the natural world. She began painting at age 15 and has since developed a deeply intuitive approach that starts outdoors—immersed in nature—and often finishes in the studio from memory and emotion.
Maeve studied at institutions including the San Francisco Art Institute and New College of California with a focus on Art and Social Change. Her richly colored landscapes have been shown in galleries and museums across the U.S. and Japan, featured on wine labels (including a French Beaujolais Nouveau competition), and collected internationally.
She’s also active in the art community—founding groups like the Mendocino Eco Artists and teaching Plein air workshops from Mackinac Island to the Mendocino Coast.
