Extreme Duality

Tess Miller (flute) and Melissa Straus (contrabass) shared collaboration and passion for providing communities with more live music opportunities when they co-founded the Mackinac Island Community Foundation Summer Concert Series. Since then, Extreme Duality has developed and continues to cultivate an eclectic repertoire and performs in recitals, house concerts, weddings, schools, yoga classes, funerals, and healing ceremonies. Their repertoire includes everything from arrangements of existing works, new compositions written specifically for and premiered by them, and improvised healing sounds.
