Event Overview
This evening explores Macbeth one of William Shakespeare’s most haunting tragedies. The evening will open with a discussion of the play, an overall, short synopsis, history of its performances and when it was written, before a reading performed by attendees occurs.

6:00 PM – 6:15 PM – Brief History on “Macbeth” and Script Handout
6:15 PM – 6:30 PM – Role Selection / Volunteering
6:30 – 7:45 PM – “Staged” Reading of play (open to any who wish to read certain parts aloud)
7:45 PM – 8:00 PM – Closing comments and questions

A bit about Conor - A Mackinac Island resident for the past two years, Conor has been actively involved with Mackinac Island Community Theatre both onstage and behind the scenes. Most recently, he directed the spring production of Sweeney Todd, with previous credits including Willy Wonka, Jr., Mamma Mia!, and assistant directing Elf: The Musical and The War of The Worlds.
Conor brings more than 20 years of theater experience, beginning with the Siena Heights University Children’s Drama Program and continuing with backstage work for UMGASS (University of Michigan Gilbert & Sullivan Society). Originally from Onsted, Michigan, he developed a lifelong love of storytelling through both journalism and theater, directing Cat on a Hot Tin Roof as his high school senior project. He has also worked with Tecumseh Youth Theatre and The Sauk Theatre.
